Sacha Cohen has been passionate about beauty and hair since he was a teenager working in Paris, Milan and New York City. He has worked with iconic fashion photographers, Peter Lindberg and Arthur Elgort. His creative approach to hair has been featured in major fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Glamour. He also spent many years using his unique hair expertise working with design houses such as YSL, Jean Paul Gautier and Chanel. HIs mission is to create beautiful cut, color and style for his clients to enhance their true beauty. Sacha and his business partner, Olivier Mikhailoff developed the concept for their salon, Sacha & Olivier, which opened in 1993. For over 20 years, Sacha & Olivier has been providing high quality salon services to their loyal clients.
John Gerard is known for his supremely balancing keratin treatment and deep conditioning treatment by Milbon as well as for his intuitive cuts and stylings for men and for women. “Beauty is about finding balance,” says John Gerard who brings a passion for beauty to his work, attracting a fashion-forward following who loves his warm friendly, upbeat energy.
Kathy Fandino grew up always looking through Latin glamour magazines. She loved to see all the famous soap opera hairstyles and thought to herself “I can do that!”. Kathy gets great joy to see her clients staring in the mirrors on their way out and says it was her calling. Kathy is known for her Parisian dry cutting techniques in which she was inspired by owners Sacha and Olivier. Over the years she has also mastered the arts of color and thermal keratin treatments. Her favorite thing to do is makeovers. Kathy’s personal philosophy is “To bring out the inner personality of each client through her creativity. As an artist she is obsessed with fashion and always keeps her eyes open for new styles to advance her creative potential.
Olivier came to New York to work with the incredible team at Cinandre Salon. Coming from Paris where he trained at Daniel Harlow (one of the leading hair salons of the time). Within his five years at Cinandre started doing work for major fashion shows and publications. Mr. Mikhailoff’s book “Short Cuts” which was published in the 80’s influenced many of the trends and styles of the era. Olivier has a devoted clientele in the fashion world and beyond. His approach with dry cutting has changed his clients lives—new identity/new confidence/new life!
Andrea Grabher is passionate about colour, fashion and art !!! She has channeled her passion into a successful career as a premier hair colourist and stylist in NYC. After completing her training and excelling at her salon first jobs, she entered the fashion industry. Andrea began her career as an assistant to renowned hair stylists such as Wendy Illes and Yannick d’Is. In 2008, Andrea won the coveted Schwarzkopf German Hairdressing Award. This recognition brought her to the attention of Thomas Hainz who then appointed her to head assistant of his salon in New York City.
Since 2012, Andrea has worked as a colour expert on Yannick d’Is’ team and has provided hair colouring services for international editorial campaigns such as Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Diane von Furstenberg, H & M, and Pantene.
Andrea currently works at Sacha and Olivier in New York City where she continues to impress her clients with her creative eye for hair colour, cut and style.
